Let's Meet MasterMom: Patty @glenellynmomsvillage

I'm beyond thrilled to introduce you to one of the most genuine and authentic moms I know. She's creative, thoughtful, always up for an adventure and the best connector around. We've worked together on multiple projects and fun events. Patty is based out of the Chicago suburbs and I couldn't have done Glen Ellyn Moms Village without her. She is currently running all things GEMV and keeping everyone well informed and connected. She's my business bestie, dear friend and I can't wait for you to learn more about her!

Hi, I'm Patty Cavanagh. I am a wife to Mike and Mom to Katie and Jack who are both in college. I was connected originally with Alicia through friends who thought we had to meet. Then I worked with her on Glen Ellyn Moms Village (GEMV) when she lived in Glen Ellyn and many other fun things ever since. I am currently still running GEMV- the sister platform to MasterMomsTalk.

My favorite Go To Meal is hands down Taco Bowls. Spice up a protein, throw it in a bowl, add your fav taco toppings and crumble tortillas chips over the top and ENJOY.

As a Mom, the best product to help me is now Facetime. I love to see their faces as much as possible.

Our favorite date night is to go grab a seat at a local bar or restaurant and catch up. Koze, Maize and Mash are two of our favorite places.

The one thing I must do on a daily basis is MOVE. I usually walk, do peloton, play pickle or paddle to keep myself moving.

My best advice for a parent with their first child heading off to college would be to get there within the first 6 weeks and also set up a once a week call with your family so siblings still feel connected. And also- let them know it is hard socially at first. It takes the whole 4 years to make it the best time of your life.

I love the Mindset Mile podcast and since they are pretty short, my kids will actually listen to them. I share episodes with them all the time.

Great Question- My favorite time of the day is early morning or equally right before bed. It's whenever I have that calm solo moment that I can sit still and reflect.
